Jeremy Street, 27 and Clarke County native, is a mixed martial arts fighter out of Starkville’s No Limit Jiu Jitsu academy. On Saturday night, January 17, 2015, at the Frank Cochran Center in Meridian, he proved to be one of the best amateur heavyweights in the area, winning Strikehard Productions’ amateur heavyweight title via shoulder lock submission (omoplata) in the first round. When asked why he travels to No Limit in Starkville, Street said, “Because I want to be a champion. To be the best, you have to train with the best. The instruction I get from there is top notch. And not only am I a student, but I am family.”
Catch Street this weekend, Saturday, May 9, fighting for Strikehard Productions’ once more in Meridian, MS.
